Osun APGA Constitutes Membership Audit Committee

The Chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Osun State, Wole Adedoyin, has taken a significant step towards strengthening the party by constituting and approving the composition of the Membership Audit Committee. This committee has been entrusted with the crucial task of recruiting new members into the party and expanding its base in the state.

The Membership Audit Committee, under the leadership of Mr. Gbadebo Adekunle, the party’s 2022 Governorship Candidate. A seasoned and dedicated party member, will play a pivotal role in formulating strategic plans and executing initiatives aimed at attracting fresh membership to APGA. With their collective expertise and commitment to the party's principles, the committee is well-equipped to drive the growth and development of APGA in Osun State.

Mr. Awojide Peter Segun has been appointed as the Committee Secretary, leveraging his organizational skills and experience to support the committee's operations effectively. The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Osun State has extended warm greetings and felicitations to Muslims across the state on the auspicious occasion of Eid-El-Kabir. This joyous festival commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God, emphasizing the values of faith, sacrifice, and unity.

In a press statement issued today, the Chairman of APGA Osun, Wole Adedoyin, expressed heartfelt wishes of peace, happiness, and prosperity to all Muslim faithful in Osun State and beyond. The APGA Osun Chapter recognizes the significance of this special day and joins millions of Muslims in celebrating the festival with utmost devotion and gratitude.

The APGA Osun Chairman, Wole Adedoyin emphasized the importance of unity and tolerance among people of different faiths, urging Muslims to use this occasion to strengthen their bond with fellow citizens and foster harmonious coexistence. State Executive Council Meeting Communiqué of APGA Osun

 

A COMMUNIQUÉ OF THE STATE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MEETING OF THE OSUN STATE CHAPTER OF THE ALL PROGRESSIVE GRAND ALLIANCE (APGA OSUN) HELD AT THE PARTY SECRETARIAT ON SATURDAY 17TH JUNE, 2023.


 

After an extensive discussion on pertinent matters concerning the Party and the state, the Osun State Chapter of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA Osun) concludes its state executive council meeting held on Saturday, 17th June 2023 at the party secretariat in Osogbo. The following resolutions were reached:

1.      APGA Osun reiterates its unwavering dedication to democratic principles, effective governance, and the betterment of the citizens of Osun.

 

2.      APGA Osun commits to upholding the party's motto, objectives, and agenda as outlined in its constitution.

 

3.      APGA Osun recognizes Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa as the esteemed National Chairman of APGA, duly holding all official authority and the party secretariat.

 

4.      APGA Osun expresses its readiness to support and collaborate with Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa to propel the party to greater heights.

 

5.      A committee will be established to review the membership status of the party in the state.

 

6.      A Membership Drive Committee will be formed to actively recruit new members into the party. This committee will strategize, design, and implement initiatives to attract fresh membership.

 

7.      All committees and groups established by the previous administration are dissolved with immediate effect.

 

8.      APGA Osun is prepared to collaborate with security and government agencies such as the Department of State Security Service (DSS), the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), the National Orientation Agency (NOA), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to ensure peace and mutual understanding among the political stakeholders in the state.

 

9.      APGA Osun strongly condemns any form of hate speech directed at any ethnic group. Recently, the party expressed deep concern and strong disapproval of the hate speech propagated by Mr. Adekusibe. The statement emphasizes the importance of unity and harmony among all ethnic groups, urging all Yorubas in Osun State to embrace APGA's motto of "Being your brother and sister's keeper." APGA Osun commended the Nigerian Police Force for promptly apprehending the suspect, Kehinde Adesogba Adekusibe, who violated the Social Media policy on hate speech.

 

10.  APGA Osun urges Governor Ademola Adeleke to prioritize the welfare of the people of Osun State.

 

11.  APGA Osun calls upon the newly elected Speaker, Rt. Hon. Wale Egbedun, to work closely with Governor Senator Ademola Adeleke in implementing policies and programs that will improve the living standards of the people of Osun State. The party believes that through collaboration, they can achieve significant progress in driving development, enhancing security, and creating a conducive environment for business growth.

 

12.  APGA expresses its support for Governor Ademola Adeleke's leadership style. The governor's proactive approach and swift intervention in matters of utmost concern to the citizens of Osun State have fostered unity, peace, and harmony within the state.

 

13.  APGA Osun commends all the security agencies in the state for their proactive initiatives that have contributed to a peaceful coexistence among the citizens. However, APGA Osun calls for increased cooperation and intelligence sharing between the citizens and the security agencies in the state.

 

14.  Finally, APGA Osun made an appeal to Governor Ademola Adeleke, urging him to ensure the organization of a local government election that is free, fair, and credible.
